The Son That Shines For All To See

I was lost in my own dark, desolate world,
Wondering to and fro, like a lost soul searching for a home,
Yet I find it not.

The Son that shines for all to see,
Yet is hidden from me.

So I continue to drift aimlessly,
Hoping and praying God will send a lover to me,
With love that shines as bright as the Son.

The Son that shines for all to see,
Yet is still hidden from me.

Still wandering aimlessly, I stumble over something,
So I feel with my hands to see what tripped me.
Behold, I find a book, so I open it.
As I start reading the words out of it,
A simple thing is revealed to me,
I need help! I can’t save myself!
As I read, my eyes catch on a few words,
At last I can see, not of my own doings,
But of the righteousness of Jesus Christ,
The words I read where Jesus answered him,
“I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life,
No one goes to the Father except by Me”.

The Son that shines for all to see,
At last, is revealed to me.
